Structure

As soon as you book the course we will sign you up for the PADI Rescue Course eLearning and you can complete all the theory at your own pace before you come to join the practical session at Sundive.

Day 1 – Half day Pool Session
After a quick knowledge review you will jump in the pool conveniently located next to Sundive and learn and practice a whole set of new rescue diving skills. You will also go through the process of planning a dive safely and creating an Emergency Action Plan that will be one of your course deliverables.

Day 2 – 2 Dives at Nguthungulli / Julian Rocks
Over 2 open water dives at Julian Rocks you will put into practice the skills you acquired in the pool, going through different rescue scenarios and practicing search patterns. While you will be focused on practicing new skills you will still have a chance to experience the extraordinary marine life of Julian Rocks.

Prerequisites

  • 12+ years old and PADI Adventure Diver with Navigation (or equivalent).
  • Current CPR and 1st Aid certification.
  • If you have pre-existing medical conditions that may affect you when diving, you may need clearance from a physician.
  • See the official PADI medical questionnaire: 10346E Diver Medical Form (PDF).
