For over three decades, Sundive has been taking divers and snorkellers to the world-famous Julian Rocks (Nguthungulli) Marine Park — longer than any other operator in the region. We're Byron Bay's only PADI 5 Star Dive Centre, offering diving and snorkelling year-round — plus whale watching cruises during the humpback migration. Our two custom rigid hull inflatable boats are among the fastest in Byron Bay — just a 10 minute ride to Julian Rocks. Behind the wheel and in the water, you're in the hands of the most experienced instructors, guides and boat captains in the region.
Our story
Sundive was founded in 1988 on a simple belief: the underwater world around Julian Rocks deserves to be protected, shared and celebrated. Since then we've trained hundreds of PADI instructors and DiveMasters, and introduced thousands of divers, snorkellers and whale watchers to the wonder of the ocean — above and below the surface.
Caring for Julian Rocks
We work alongside the National Parks & Wildlife Service and local research groups, including Living Ocean, to monitor, protect and celebrate the marine life at Julian Rocks. Every trip is a chance to learn about the reef and how you can help protect it.
