This is your first step as a professional diver, so you want to ensure that you have the best start possible to your dive career. We don’t believe in offering silver, gold or platinum choices with varying degrees of quality; instead we give you the best possible course as standard.

Our Divemaster program will lay solid foundations for you to build upon whether you want to travel the world freelancing as a dive pro, work on livaboards guiding divers, manage a resort in a remote destination or continue your education to become an Assistant Instructor or Instructor so you can introduce people to the magic of the underwater world. Maybe you just want to improve your skills, knowledge and experience as a diver. Our personal approach by our highly qualified staff will give you the real world training essential for succeeding in the dive industry.

Cost:

$2200 including all required PADI materials and equipment rental. Does not include PADI application fees.

Diving Gear rental is included but you will be required to have at a minimum your own mask and snorkel and dive computer. We will be able to offer the purchase of any gear at a very discounted price for the DM candidates. 

Duration:

6-8 weeks

Structure:

3 separate modules; knowledge development, waterskills development, and practical assessment training. The first module is conducted via elearning, and covers how to supervise certified divers, student divers, risk management and your dive career. In addition you’ll gain theoretical dive knowledge about physics, physiology, equipment, skills and environment and the recreational dive planner.

Once this is completed, we’ll work on your dive skills to get them to demonstration quality and other waterskills such as water treads and diver rescue.

The practical application will involve you applying the knowledge development to real world situation when you assist our instructors on courses and programs and are then supervised conducting your own programs and guiding certified divers. At Sundive we believe in the real training experience and conduct all assisting with real customers with no simulations. 

Prerequisites:

18+ Years old. PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver or Equivalent. At least 40 logged dives. A current CPR and 1st Aid certification. Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within the last 12 months.
