If diving the last pristine reefs of the world cruising through paradise islands is your dream holiday Raja Ampat should be at the top of your bucket list a top bucket list destination for divers and photographers with an incredible diversity of marine species and underwater environments. Raja Ampat has it all. There are areas where soft corals and fans dominate, other areas are covered in hard corals, there are seagrass beds, blue water mangroves, shallow reefs, drop offs, caves, black sand and white sand bottoms. marine life thrives from the tiniest pygmy sea horses to huge manta rays and many shark species including walking epaulettes and tasselled wobbegongs.

We have chartered the gorgeous MV SIREN exclusively for our Sundive expedition and we will cover a wide itinerary across the big and small islands of the Four Kings from Batanta, to Misool to the small islands around Waigeo and into the Dampier Strait for the bigger fish action.
There will be incredible photographic opportunities: the most stunning wide angle reefscapes , macro and supermacro with an array of unique critters, big fish photography for mantas and sharks, and amazing underwater landscapes and split levels among the mangrove channels and in the calm bays.

If you are new into underwater photography or want to improve some of your technique there will be plenty of opportunity to get one on one coaching with Sundive owners and award winning underwater photographers Simone and David with guidance on shooting and image review and postproduction advice.
Currents are usually mild around Raja Ampat but a few dives can involve strong currents due to tidal movements so intermediate to advanced dive experience is recommended.
