The PADI Advanced Course

The PADI Advanced Course is your next step into the underwater world after Open Water Certification. On completion of this course you will be certified as a PADI Advanced Diver. Once comfortable with basic skills divers want to conquer new tasks, see different creatures and journey into diverse environments. The five dives we have selected for this course are the Deep, Navigation, Naturalist, Drift and Boat Dives. During this course classroom time is kept to a minimum as the emphasis of this course is on practical application of dive theory.

The Deep dive will train you to dive a little deeper, to 30m. We therefore brush up on your theory and skills to make sure you are comfortable down there!

The Navigation Dive will give you a little more practise in compass navigation and natural navigation. You should then find it easier to find your way around and estimate distance.

The Naturalist Dive will allow you to understand the underwater world a little better. A little information on species classification and biology is most helpful. We will show you critters you often swim past but never actually see! We have several biologists on staff to assist your understanding in this area.

The Drift Dive is a little theory on the practical aspects of diving in current. Gear requirements and dive techniques will be covered here.

The Boat Dive is a little theory on boat terminology and equipment. We generally plan this as your first advanced dive. This will allow you to become familiar with our RIBs (rigid inflatable boat), dive environment and dive equipment. Many divers finish their Open Water course having participated in shore entries only. Many divers have never dived off small boats. This dive is therefore a very useful inclusion.
