Open Water Course
The PADI Open Water Course
The Open Water Course is your first step into the underwater world. On completion of this course you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver. This certification is internationally recognised so you will be able to dive anywhere in the world. Of over 100 diver training organisations worldwide, PADI trains more than 60% of the world's divers.
Sundive is a 5 star training facility providing all training on site. Our instructional staff are highly motivated professionals, with many years of experience behind them. Sundive ensures your safety and enjoyment throughout your training. Note that all training dives are conducted at the Julian Rock Marine Park (rated in the Top 10 dive locations in Australia).
Why Choose Byron Bay?
Learning to dive in Byron Bay gives you the opportunity to use one of Australia's top dives sites as your classroom! The training at Sundive provides new divers with the skills and confidence you need to go out and tackle any dive site. All of the open water dives are done from a boat, not from shore. Doing a back-roll into the ocean is much more exciting than flopping in from shore, right? Be ready to test your skills with turtles, sharks, rays, and big schools of fish surrounding you.
After you dry off from your days of diving, enjoy one of the most beautiful towns in Australia. Byron Bay is known for it's beautiful beaches, lovely cafes, relaxing day-time atmostphere, and a night-scene for all ages. Let's face it, Byron Bay has it all.
The only downside to choosing Byron Bay as your classroom is that everything else seems.... boring.
