Byron Bay Diving Conditions

Today's Dive Report:

  • Date: Friday 30 July 2010
  • Water Temp:  19 degrees
  • Visibility: 7-10 metres
  • Sea Conditions: still a little choppy

Where we’ve been:

Julian Rocks: Cod Hole, Nursery, Needles and Trench

What we've seen:

Grey Nurse, Snapper, Trevally, Jewfish and Kingfish are still hanging around the bait balls. At the Cod Hole, divers saw over 15 Grey Nurse Sharks today. There was also some Eagle Rays, lots of cods and lots of schooling fish everywhere. We saw some enormous Loggerhead Turtles and lots of small stuff like cuttle fish, octopus, nudibranchs, mantis shrimps etc in the shallower areas. The diving is up there with the best again today.

Snorkelling Conditions:

Getting better, still a bit rough
