Grey Nurse Sharks at Julian Rocks

Come and dive with Grey Nurse Sharks

Julian Rocks is a critical habitat for Grey Nurse Sharks. They generally begin to show up at the rocks when the water gets just that little bit colder (from around 20-22 degrees) in May/June and when Leopard Sharks are just about to leave for warmer waters up north. Over the next few months, we will see their numbers increase as well as the amount of females. A big female pregnant Grey Nurse Shark is a very impressive sight underwater. They are huge! The season generally lasts until November. At the peak of the season, divers can see around 30-40 Grey Nurse Sharks during one dive. Get out there while they're around!
